Knitwear is often imagined for cold weather.
We begin elsewhere: with humidity, changing temperatures and the movement between outdoor heat and air-conditioned rooms.
Our pieces are developed with fine-gauge structures, considered stretch and silhouettes that sit close to the body without feeling heavy. They are designed to be worn across seasons in the climates we know—then carried into lives elsewhere.

OUR SIGNATURE
The knit dress, shaped in many ways.
From a fitted ribbed line to an accordion pleat or a softened A-line, each dress begins with the relationship between structure and movement.

Fit & Form
Designed around the body.
Our proportions are developed in-house with East and Southeast Asian women in mind.
Stretch is calculated as part of the pattern: where a garment should follow the body, where it should hold its shape and where it should allow ease.
The result is a range of fits: from close and sculpted to relaxed and fluid—each designed to feel intentional on the body.
How It Is Made
Knitted to shape.
Each garment is made using fully fashioned construction. Individual panels are knitted directly to their intended shape, then carefully linked together.
This allows proportion and structure to be built into the garment while reducing the cutting waste associated with conventional cut-and-sew production.
Fine ribs, pointelle, pleats and shaped panels are not surface decoration alone. They determine how a piece stretches, falls and returns to form through wear.

hello ronron was founded in Kuala Lumpur in 2022 by Taiwanese designer Angela Tsai-Jung Chiang.
Her background in womenswear, printed textiles and theatre costume—together with years lived and worked across Taiwan, Canada, the United Kingdom, Malaysia and Singapore—shapes the way the brand considers clothing, climate and the body.
Today, hello ronron is designed between Taiwan and Singapore: rooted in the region, attentive to the lives around it and open to the wider world.
